Dr Shreya Malik

BMedSc MEx. & SpSc (Clin Ex Sc) MBBS DCH FRACGP 

Dr Malik is a General Practitioner with a strong foundation in both clinical medicine and exercise science. With a diverse academic background spanning a Bachelor of Medical Science, a Master of Exercise and Sports Science (Clinical Exercise Science), a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, a Diploma of Child Health, and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, she brings a well-rounded, evidence-based approach to family medicine.

She has a particular interest in preventative health, chronic disease management, paediatrics, and lifestyle medicine, drawing on her clinical exercise science expertise to support patients in achieving sustainable, long-term wellness. Her additional training in child health underpins her compassionate care for families and young children.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Malik is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and is actively involved in medical education and mentoring the next generation of doctors. Her commitment to lifelong learning helps ensure her practice remains current, thoughtful, and patient-centred.

Outside of medicine, Dr Malik is a wife and mother of two young children. She understands firsthand the challenges of balancing health, family, and career, and brings this empathy and real-world understanding into every consultation.
